It is with a very heavy heart that I write this. I was shocked to hear the news that my best friend and co-host Matthew Shoemaker took his life Friday night. Like most folks, I know that I can count the number of true friends that I have on one hand and he was truly a dear friend and very much like a brother to me. I felt honored to know him and have him call me friend.
Most of you know that this podcast was a way of sharing the ramblings of two friends that enjoyed talking about Information Security and wanted to share some of our thoughts with the rest of the community. It certainly is something that was a struggle at times, but more often than not it was fun and enjoyable.
Visitation will be held, Tuesday, August 3rd between 4:00 – 6:30 PM with a Memorial service following from 6:30 – 7:00 PM at New Covenant Baptist Church, 1051 Hwy 324 NE, Dacula GA 30019 (Google Maps Link). Please keep Matthew, his Wife and Kids in your prayers.
